Is there a benefit to being custom fitted for golf clubs???

The short answer is YES but why?
Well there are around four main reasons why so read on to find out what they are.
1. Being able to TRY BEFORE YOU BUY is something that the internet will never be able to provide to the golfer. How a golf club feels in your hand and how it frames the ball at address is something only you the golfer can see and feel for yourself. Although there are a lot of other factors that will determine the very best club for you this is very important part in the process.
2. Recreational golfers often have less than perfect techniques and set-ups. As all of us at AB Golf Performance Centre are experienced PGA qualified professional coaches. This allows us to truly look after each golfer that we fit. If the golfer being fitted has poor posture or is the wrong distance from the ball at address the we can ask them the following question. Am I fitting you for the current technique or do you want the new irons (for example) to make you a better golfer. Sometimes the answer is "NO thanks just fit me for what I am. I never practice and don't have lessons". Then others are really wanting to improve and don't want a fitting to be based on poor technique. Both answers are fine and allow the golfer to make an informed decision. This solution where technique and technology combine is where we see the biggest transformations!
3. In short - fitted clubs are insurance against a wrong purchase! A full set of clubs can now cost well in excess of £2000, so doing right the first time is vital.
